NOVEMBER 10, DAY OF ACTION
On November 10th, thousands of health care, food service, and building services workers took the streets in cities around the nation to say they’re tired of not being able to support their families with their wages. Workers came together to demand action from state legislators and presidential candidates to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. In addition to fast food and property services workers, hundreds of thousands of health care workers–vital members of the care delivery team–are underpaid and unable to provide for their own families, while at the same time being tasked with caring for the lives and families of others. Doctors Council members and staff joined the rally in solidarity with the thousands of workers throughout America to add our voices to this important cause.
