Advisory: Attending physicians represented by Doctors Council SEIU will send a delegation to Gracie Mansion with a critical message for Mayor Eric Adams.

Advisory: On Wednesday, July 10 at 6:30 pm, attending physicians represented by Doctors Council SEIU will send a delegation to Gracie Mansion with a critical message for Mayor Eric Adams. They are calling on him to address two urgent issues: the need for adequate funding for Health and Hospitals (H+H)—the mayoral agency and nation’s largest public health system—and the necessity for H+H management to negotiate a fair contract that tackles the staffing shortages threatening the health and safety of New Yorkers.

This action comes on the heels of three recent rallies held by attending physicians across the boroughs at H+H hospitals, demanding safe staffing levels to ensure quality care for all patients.

These physicians, the backbone of New York City's public hospitals, are raising the alarm about the ongoing lack of investment that affects the quality of care for the city's most vulnerable residents.

Please reach out if you have questions or plan to cover.
